Music Mailer: January 2020
Hello Friends, Happy New Year!!
We hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday! We’re excited for what the new year has to offer–but first let’s take a look back at everything that we accomplished in 2019.
-As many of you recall, we moved into a new studio space in April in order to accommodate our growing community. Since then we have welcomed over 30 new students, both children and adults, to our school!
-So many of our students participated in last year’s Winter Recital that we are now splitting the recitals into two separate time blocks! (By the way, our next recital is on Saturday the 18th if you haven’t signed up yet.)
-We also welcomed several new teachers to our school and now offer lessons on cello, guitar, clarinet, saxophone, voice, and harp!!
-With the help of our teachers and friends, we were able to host several new events including Sing-Alongs, Coffee&Composition, and our Faculty Recital.
-We connected with our neighbors at Danzversity and Mi Casa for a holiday block party featuring music, a bouncy house, arts and crafts, and an epic dance party finale!
We’re very excited to see what 2020 brings, and to continue making music with you!

Students, don’t forget to sign up for our next Winter Recital on Saturday, January 18th! The recital is open to all students regardless of age, instrument, or level, and takes place here at the school in our own Recital Hall.

Dear Students and Parents,
We are still moving in to our new space, and there are some blank walls that we would love to decorate. Our wonderful students are at the heart of our community and we’d love to include you in this process!
If you have any pictures of yourself or your child that you’d like us to print and hang up, please send them to us either via email, or as a text to (512) 337-2224. Or let us know if you would be okay with us taking a picture during your lesson.
Did you know that our piano teacher, Trevor Villwock, plays with a band called the Eastside Bues Syndicate? And that they host an open mic EVERY Monday night at Dozen Street?

Our friends from MUNN are playing a FREE show at Cenote on Friday, January 10th! MUNN is a catchy folk-rock band with a bunch of nerdy songs about science.
