About your Teacher: Kimberly Swanson

Kimberly Swanson began studying piano when she was 7 years old. While she has studied the piano classically since childhood, she is also proficient in pop music performance and teaching. She has actively performed with several bands, as a solo performer, and as an accompanist for choral programs.

Kimberly received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at the University of Florida, where she graduated with highest honors. Upon graduation in 2014, she taught general music at Littlewood Elementary School in Gainesville, Florida, where she also served as the after school choir director and play director. She has also worked as a camp and after school counselor for elementary school students.

Kimberly is now attending graduate school at the University of Texas, where she is earning a degree in Music and Human Learning. When she is not studying, performing, or teaching, Kimberly enjoys hiking with her dog, drinking dark coffee, reading fiction novels, and trying new recipes.
